    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    This course is a fantastic introduction to systems engineering and signal processing. I went in as an ECE major wanting to focus on these areas and still learned a lot -- it's not required to be a BME major! But, most importantly: Dr Davis is an AWESOME professor!! He's let me have homework extensions a few times now when I've needed a mental health break, he brings energy and enthusiasm to his lectures (which is soo needed when this stuff gets dry), and he seriously cares.

    Course highlights:

    System configurations ; Laplace transforms ; Reduction of block diagram systems ; Time domain response of systems, pole-zero analysis, stability ; Root Locus analysis ; Frequency Response Analysis ; Designing a system based on frequency response

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Learn Laplace and Fourier transforms ahead of time, if you can. I'd already taken two systems based classes before this and while that made this class much easier for me, but I still got a lot of information from the class.
