Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class, especially for freshman. College Algebra is a little challenging, but it is pretty easy if you do all of the work. It's a great place to start.

    Course highlights:

Personally, there wasn't much new material that I learned, but it was good to refresh my Algebra skills.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely do the homework! Math is a subject that you have to study everyday, or you will got lost very easily. The homework was never too hard and didn't take long. And if you have questions, ask!!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Not to bad of a course, make sure you got to class every day and make an effort to do the problems suggested. I suggest you also ask a lot of questions because the teacher will notice your effort and help you as much as possible

    Course highlights:

The exams were the hardest part but the bonus is that you get credit for showing your work. I learned a lot and this will indeed help you as you go thru the rest of your courses here. I also learned a lot of hard work gets you very far in this class

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say that you should come to class everyday and ask a lot of questions. the more questions you ask the better you will do in the class. Also do the home work with a partner as this will help you more than likely get a better grade in the course

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a University required course, it is not one that I would have taken just for fun. If you do have to take MTH 103, I would definitely recommend Professor Allen because she was very skilled and obviously knew what she was teaching.

    Course highlights:

Ultimately, I gained a basic understanding of math. I had already learned all these things in high school, so it was really just a refresher course. I don't think it was that hard of a class, although if math is not something that you are good at, you may have a harder time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study. Take notes. Pay attention during the lecture, and use on-campus resources like the Math Learning Center for help with your homework.
