Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is required for many degrees and will be difficult no matter what. However, getting the right professor who cares about all individual students and does a good job of explaining concepts, is important when looking for a good grade. Professor Fata-Harley is one of these professors.

    Course highlights:

We spent a lot of time talking about cell signaling as well as DNA and RNA replication. When you know that all of this is happening inside your body, it makes it easier to be interested.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the online homework. If you fall behind it is harder to catch up. Also, study study study for exams. Many people think they can get by without studying but it is one of the most important parts of the class. Take the online homework and in class activities seriously because they add up to a lot of the total points in the class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I loved the information in this course! It's of course a huge lecture, but highly interesting. You are one your own for mastering the material and being responsible for it, but it's relatively easy to be interested. The questions are quite intuitive on the exams.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of the course centered around RNA and DNA. The genetics portion was very interesting!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise you to be comfortable in your study habits before taking this course, meaning you should know how to master concepts and not just memorize information, which takes some students a little while to figure out.
