    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it takes concepts learned in statics, physics, and calculus and applies them to real-world problems in a way that forces you to learn how to critically think about HOW you are going to solve a problem rather than plugging in formulas.

    Course highlights:

Some of the highlights of this course were learning to calculate internal forces and moments, learning to calculate the moment around a point using vectors, and learning how to calculate the internal stress and strain.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice practice practice. It is one thing to look over the notes, book, and examples but if you don't actually sit down and try the problems and work them out yourself, you will not remember how. The best way to learn how to do these problems and solidify the concepts taught is to practice all kinds of example problems.
