    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course itself would be fine with any other professor, I just warn you to stay AWAY from Dr. Broman. He sets the course up to be ALL POP QUIZZES. That's right, POP quizzes. Not only that but he pulls the questions from the TWO TEXTBOOKS you have to read from, and specifically quizzes on unimportant small blurbs from the readings. Everyone's GPA suffers from this course and he has to curve EVERYTHING so it doesn't show that he sucks at his job. Do NOT take his class!

    Course highlights:

I learned that college can be cruel with the wrong professors. Also that Child Rearing is based on socioeconomic classes and that it's important to agree upon when raising children.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take any other section that's not Broman's. And if you are going to tough out Broman's, READ. READ READ READ like your life depends on it I swear it will be the only saving grace in that class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class should have been a 300 level class, it was insanely difficult! The work load was insane and the exams were nearly impossible! They didn't match the material learned in class or read in the books, however, there was a lot of extra credit offered in the class.

    Course highlights:

The only highlight of the class was the extra credit project at the end of the semester that absolutely saves your grade.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read, read, read! The readings are a must for the pop quizzes! Also, pay attention in class. While a lot of the material covered in class has nothing to do with what's on the exams, random, little tangents will be on the exams!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Nawyn is an intelligent professor, she prepares you for the exams and is flexible with the everyday setup of how class is run.

    Course highlights:

I gained knowledge about sociology that I hadn't known before and it can be related to, often times overlapping, other classes.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in lecture because most of the exam questions come from the notes and don't skip class.
