Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It seems intimidating at first, but you learn so much about chemistry and you gain a lot of useful lab skills.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to do spectroscopy, how to write a college level scientific research papers, how to work with a team, how to do a titration, etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Everyone in the team needs to work hard and work together to ensure success. Don't be afraid to step up and be a team leader, you are all working towards the same goal.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Lyman Briggs is a great way to get ahead, and everyone needs chemistry!

    Course highlights:

We went through an introduction to organic chemistry which has definitely helped in other classes as well.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to do it anyways, just pay attention

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's a prerequisite to any science or medical field related path so it's generally inevitable. Although the class is much more difficult than regular university chemistry, it will reward you later when you need to take organic chemistry.

    Course highlights:

The highlights would have to be learning about Atomic Orbitals and Periodic trends. There is also an Organic Chemistry section near the end of the semester. All of these main concepts tie together to strengthen your conceptual knowledge of chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study for the mini-exam and you will be thankful you did! It is extremely hard and I suggest making study groups from the start!
