    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this course with Professor Mantica. My class was his first time teaching a lower level chemistry class and although it showed that he is used to teaching upper level courses, he was able to "dumb down" a lot of concepts.

    Course highlights:

Most time in this class was spent learning about molecules and the development from atom to compound. We touched on the Big Bang Theory as well as Enthalpy and Entropy. A lot of material is covered throughout this course but it all fits together going deeper and deeper as you go.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

ALWAYS go to lectures and take notes because many exam questions are things on the presentations shown in class. Also, always do the study guides because all the questions on the exam are replicas or near replicas to the ones on the study guides.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is amazing, and teaches with great cadence and poise.

    Course highlights:

Truthfully, everything I learned in this course regarding chemistry was taught in my high school chemistry class. However, this class taught me that even though you may believe you understand a concept well enough to get a good grade, the exams often times are worded to get you to believe otherwise.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Aside from studying the material, try to get a feel for how the exams are worded the first time around. Read the questions carefully, and take your time.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a great introductory course to chemistry.

    Course highlights:

This course had clicker questions that made student be very active during lecture and helped understand that material better. The homework was very easy and short.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

What you put into this course is what you get out of it. Make sure to study!
