    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    I would completely recommend this course! It enhanced my musicality, and the artistry of Prof. Noe is simply astounding.

    Course highlights:

    The highlight of this course was the opera, "The Elixir of Love". I learned that lots of practice and work is needed to put on a wonderful opera!

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Practice, practice, practice. Don't take this course lightly. Yes, it's 1 credit. But the practice ethics that you put in are what you will carry into your career!

    Course highlights:

    I enjoyed participating in the Opera Orchestra collaboration with the China Experience. It was unforgettable!!

    Advice for students:

    In order to succeed, practice is key. As soon as you're able to obtain the repertoire, get started with it. Auditions are extraordinarily important, don't take them lightly!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    Being in the Symphony Orchestra is a wonderful experience. Most of the students involved are graduate students, so there's a lot to learn! The repertoire our conductor chooses is extraordinary!

    Course highlights:

    The highlights were the opera this past semester. Some students were chosen to perform in a collaboration between a music conservatory in China and MSU. It was a wonderful experience, with great music!

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

    Practice, practice, practice. Don't underestimate the quality of MSU's Symphony Orchestra. All of the section members work hard!
