    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I do like the content of most of this course however it does have a lot of ecology in it which I wasn't the most fond of. I think that it helps open a perspective and view on animals that I never had before.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed learning about different ways that animals communicated with each other. This included a lot about their hearing and vision. This is the content I found most fascinating because we viewed the anatomy and physiology of different animals ears and eyes. We also learned about different ways that animals can map and locate themselves through these visual or audio systems. Animals also use the magnetic field and its polarization with light to locate where they are and where they have been/going.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the readings in the book that the teacher reccomends. You will get much more out of the class if you can keep up with the readings. Also dyer has very long wordy questions on his exams so understanding his style and knowing the differences between different case studies is helpful.
