    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    I would recommend this course if you are truly interested in the Russian language and culture. However, if you are looking for an easy elective this is not it. I loved learning the language and the class was structured pretty well.

    Course highlights:

    I learned the basics of the Russian language and culture. We spoke in class everyday to help us get accustomed to the different alphabet and sounds.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    You have to be motivated to learn Russian to do well in this class.

    Do it! The professor is very helpful and good at what she does. You'll be speaking Russian in no time.

    Course highlights:

    I learned how to write in Cyrillic and read Russian.

    Do homework every day. Language is not something you can cram for.

    The course is very accommodating to those without even minimal experience with the Cyrillic alphabet, and Russian is a wonderful language.

    I learned how to read the Russian Cyrillic alphabet.

    Look into whether or not you would actually use Russian in a potential career field.
