Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a great course where you get to learn more in depth about our cells how they work together to sustain life. Majority is review from grade 12 biology

    Course highlights:

I learned about the different systems within the human body and the organs ex. nervous system, endocrine system, and what are the essential nutrients and minerals that we need to live and how does it help our bodies. Touched a bit on plants and animals and their cardiovascular systems or alternatives to it. Learned alot about DNA and how duplication works and also more in depth as previously said about the nervous system on the neurotransmitters it sends and the connections between inter neurons etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the lecture notes a lot and just read the textbook to gain a better understanding of the material. Answer the objectives in the slides and watch lots of videos before exams as it helps to summarize ; Crash course is a good source. For the lab exam make sure you practise the tutorial quizzes as they tend to similar to the exam.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Provides the basic background for biological sciences, good way of dipping your toe into biology and seeing whether it is something you like.

    Course highlights:

Went into details of topic touched upon in high school.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY, MEMORIZE. Most of it is the details rather than general idea, make sure you know them all.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Her slides were all over the place and had no proper flow. Honestly she was just a horrible proof overall.

    Course highlights:

The plant section is pretty interesting. If you understand that BISC 102 will be much easier because it's similar.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the lectures. Don't start reviewing everything when it's time to study for the midterm or test.
