Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course if your main focus is biology. It really gives you a strong foundation to go off of as you continue to take sciences courses throughout your college years. You learn a little bit of everything in the class and although it's alot of information to retain, there are plenty of resources to help, such as supplemental instruction or tutoring. The instructor is even willing to help as much as he can.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were the different ways we learned. I liked the fact that we had to do Iclicker questions, which made sure you uderstood the information while still in class. This allowed the opportunity to know whether or not you would need help with a particular subject that you may have been learning. I learned that biology connects to multiple other subjects and that Bio 113 will prepare you for future classes because of all the things you learn in the class. I also learned that it is best to ask for help if you need it early on because your end result will be amazing.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

It is good to have some previous biology knowledge such as things learned in high school. Make sure to follow the notes in class and attend supplemental instruction too. If necessary don't be afraid to ask for help, everyone needs it sometimes. Try to stay organized and don't cram your studying into the night before the exam, make sure to study everytime you learn new material because it does build up.
