This class was tough.
Course Overview:
Horribly set up course. Chapters are taught in random order, jumping back and forth. Math in general at OU is so incredibly challenging so if you can take it at another institution and transfer it, DO SO!
Course highlights:
Polynomials, Trinomials, Algebra, Slope Intercept Form & Graphing, etc.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Take at another school & transfer it or try to test out of it! Perla is nice but just reads out of the book and you basically teach yourself.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would recommend this course if you need to build up your math skills if you are in a major that requires math such as Engineering or you just need to take a math class. This course is just college algebra and it is the easiest course to do well in. If you had algebra in High School then this is like nothing for you. This course is easy to master if you have the right professor who can teach the material efficiency to make you understand it. Attend to all your daily workshops.
Course highlights:
Studying the material like the word problems are useful in real word jobs such as economy, retail, and construction fields. I came to understand the word problems after going through many of them in other courses like math 062. It is easy to do if you break down each sentence carefully and properly set up each variable to represent its meaning.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Attending daily workshops, seek AMP night tutoring, daily tutoring as well as Khan academy for extra help, I tried it and it worked!
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I recommend this course if you haven't been in math for a while it definitely helps you get back intact with mathematics
Course highlights:
Really it reinforced things I already knew
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Pay attention, go to class and study
