    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is the foundation for your other higher level biology classes. You need this class to succeed in your other science classes. It is important to study every night and to get a high grade to increase your chances of getting into nursing or medical school.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would be the understanding of the cells, metabolism, photosynthesis, sexual reproduction and cell division and evolution. These are the highlights of this course. I learned how the body functions through environmental factors such as sunlight and other factors that could possibly lead to cancer, as well as internal factors such as lack of protein which the body primary source of function. The key to remember in this course is that STRUCTURE DICTATES FUNCTION. The structure of the cell dictates its function. For example, the structure of an epidermal cell can not perform the same function as a nerve cell.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study. The key to success in this class is to study before the class and to study after class when you have time. The worst thing you can do is fall behind and study two days or one day before the exam. That will not end well.
