Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course has a medium level of coursework that I put into my schedule easily.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about basic biology. The cell, microbiology and bacteria.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest memorizing the bolded terms in the book and doing the online quizzes for this professor. Several of the questions for the test come straight off the quizzes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This professor was amazing! She was hilarious and so informed on her subject, she could answer any questions I threw at her! She knew how to break down the complicated chapters (like the one on photosynthesis, respiration and genetics) and explain it in a way that would have me somehow enjoying it! She is so kind and provides so many opportunities for extra credit in case you didn't do as well as you'd hoped on a particular exam.

    Course highlights:

I learned all the basics of biology needed for my nursing career. High school only teaches you somuch but in this class, you will expand on that knowledge and gain extreme depth in all the topics studied. My favorite chapter was genetics because it was so intriguing and informative to find out about all the different forms of crosses and how people can turn out completely different. It'salso fun to manually draw out the 4x4 (16 box) punnett squares!

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Attend class! Use the iclicker points to your advantage and it is possible to get 10/10 on each quiz! You are constantly examined so stay on top of your work and remember to leave time for yourself. The content is dense but fun and interesting so studying for 16 hours a week was not a problem for me. Start early and stay ahead and you are almost guaranteed a full understanding and a (possible) 4.0! Takes notes (manually if you can), highlight, understand, flashcards, read out loud. You got this.
