Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course both taught me a lot and engaged me. The topics that we looked into and argued were very important moral issues that we all feel strongly about, and tutorials gave us the room to debate them and share - and challenge - our views. Both my professor and my TA were also excellent.

    Course highlights:

Without question, the highlights of this course for me were the tutorial discussions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Relative to doing readings, coming to (and participating in) lectures and tutorials is far more important in this course than in most. Doing the readings helps, and is very important before tests/ to research for essays, but you can get away without doing them before lectures, because Prof Moreau covers everything very clearly. In fact, lectures and tutorials are so well run, and provide so much room for discussion and interactive exploration of the topics, that they are more useful than the readings for learning and thinking about the material.
