Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Lots of material and the prof is all over the place, making learning quite difficult. His data is also not completely up-to-date. There was an issue with HIV statistics and misinformation during the year that I took it and a brouhaha within the class when pointed out. He presents himself as a caring prof, often bragging about the successes of his past students and he also likes to pat people on the back (literally). I was once presented with a pat on the back for being slightly late to the exam. I did not appreciate that.
The course covers many types of viruses, but doesn't really go in-depth into them. So you'll end up having to memorise a lot and probably not really absorbing anything once the exam is done.

Advice for students:
Take it if you want an overview of viruses and are fine with memorising lots of information. MC tests and exams. It is a good introduction to the world of viruses.
