Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course mostly because of the professor, he is very passionate about what he teaches and makes it interesting to learn.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights in being able to fully understand the Calvin Cycle, Photosynthesis and Cell Respiration. I have those memorized by heart now.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to lecture. He usually says "This will be on the exam", so take note of it when he does. Go to office hours too, he is truly helpful.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a great course to take in order to understand the basics of Biology. This course is mostly an introduction class that will help you in future Biology courses.

    Course highlights:

Having a professor who is connected to a subject is more intriguing, Dr. Norris always seemed excited with the different topics that he would discuss. He gave examples that were easy to understand.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes! Attend every lecture because even if you skip one class, you miss out on a lot of information. He does post his slides online but he goes into more detail and explains things clearly in person. It is better to be there in person and to take notes on everything he says.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend Steve Norris for this course. He is clear and really knows what he's talking about.

    Course highlights:

Lots on insects and plants. Lab with Lorna Profant very fun. We actually went outside to to look at native and non-native plants on campus.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go through the slide shows to study and the book if needed but for the most part it's very straight up. Memorizing terms is important.
