Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you need physics or are interested in it. Dr. Lin has a lot of research in education and it really shows throughout the course. The set-up is completely different than any other course I have taken, and with effort, it is designed for student success. Specifically, you play a part in designing your own labs, and exams are always retakable which allowed me to not stress and actually learn the material.

    Course highlights:

I learned about optics, electric fields, and magnetism. By the end of the course, I can draw ray diagrams, describe electric currents and resistors, and predict the effects on a magnetic field. Th highlights of this course was the group work and designing our own experiments in lab. We made an RC motor and a speaker out of magnets!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely do the assigned homework because they are pretty much like practice exams. Do the exams even if you might fail it because you will learn from it and you will be able to re-take the exam the following week. Oh and of course, go to class and office hours.

    Advice for students:

Obviously to succeed you must work, and as long as you do that,
