Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I took this course my first semester at college and it was by far the best decision I made. Shelly is kind and caring and truly helps you in anyway she can. I learned so much about children and how their mind functions and now I am able to understand their world better. It is a lot of reading but in the end you learn so much more than you would have ever thought.

    Course highlights:

The highlights for me were in the middle of the semester we did an early childhood project and this was a very interactive project. We had to go to the child development lab and be able to apply everything we had learned up to that point. It really helps with learning the material.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you get the book and keep on top of your reading, and use her office hours because she is seriously the best when it comes to questions about what she is looking for.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a good level of easy and challenging. It requires you to actually put in effort and pushes you to work toward a good grade in the course.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the observations. They were a "fun" assignment because you got to watch the kids interact with one another. You learn several things in this course both through presentation the professor gives in class but through individual readings on your own time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't make things hard on yourself, read the chapters as you go through the lessons in class, take good notes, pay attention and set aside some study time for just this course if you want to get really good grades.
