Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is so interactive and really teaches you how your body works on a cellular level.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of the course was the lab section. I got to do hands on activities learning about my body; one lab in particular was one about olfactory senses. We had different solutions (salty, sweet, onion, chocolate, coffee, etc.) to place on our tongue with our nose and eyes shut. We told our partners what we tasted with eyes shut and nose plugged, and then unplugged nose and told them what we tasted. It was so interesting to see how closely our taste and smell senses are related!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to lecture, be Juan's friend, go to lab, and pay attention. It's truly an interesting course and you learn so much!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

READ: DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE UNLESS YOU NEED IT!!! Both this course and Human Anatomy (BIOL 103) are VERY information-heavy courses, so if you do not have to take them, save your GPA. That being said, I thought this course was awesome (but I love the subject). As far as Day goes, he isn't super invested in the class because it has little to do with his research. But he is very knowledgeable, and is helpful at his office hours.

    Course highlights:

If you like to learn about the stuff that's happening inside you 24/7, you'll like this course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My recommendation would be to either get a free tutor through the Student Learning Center of attend Supplemental Instruction (SI) or both. These will not only help you do better in the course, but they usually come up with killer study guides that are VERY helpful!
