    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it helps students become aware of the sociological perspective. It is a powerful course which changes the way a individual thinks by seeing how everything in society is interrelated.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was seeing how history and larger social structures have influenced our lives by using the sociological imagination. I learned how everything in society is dependent on one another and how we as individuals shape society.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to read and understand reading thoroughly by using real world examples.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course was supposed to be about sociology, and instead the prof. just kept talking about political issues dividing our society.

    Course highlights:

White people are responsible for all that's evil in the society.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Blame everything on white privilege and you will do fine in this course. Quizzes are open book.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is really interesting and it opens up yours eyes about what this world and us as humans look at it. It helps change your perspective of the world and the United States and the people around you. When you think you know society, this class will definitely make you understand and wonder why we are the way we are.

    Course highlights:

What I learned in this course is how the United States is less than 5% of the worlds population, is using up more than 25% of the worlds resources. There are families outside of this country barely living off a dollar a day. I also learned how society expects an individual to act in a certain way, keeping the "norm." I also learned how a simple "like" on the media can make a teen feel.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always stay on task! Never procrastinate and always watch the lectures because it will really help on writing the essays and the discussion boards.
