    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Haven is an amazing teacher. He really cares about whether or not his students are actually understanding the material. If he feels that he has not explained enough or students have not had enough practice with something then he will postpone certain assignments until he feels students are prepared.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to be an improved writer and how to conduct credible and reliable research.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate! This way you can ask him any questions about assignments early on. He is more than happy to help. Take notes when he explains assignments to you because he has very specific instructions and even with group chat, there is always some confusion so it's best to have something written down to look back on. Write out ALL due dates on a calendar and always show up to class because those due dates WILL CHANGE.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

He is a very honest professor, and grades your essays harshly, but class is not boring. If you put in the work and read his comments on essays, you will be fine.

    Course highlights:

He had us read "The Shallows: The internet and What it's Doing to Our Brains", and it has controversial topics that change your perspective on technology.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you need help writing essays, take this class. You will be doing a lot of revising and editing. He does not go easy on you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend Professor Keawe simply because she taught me how to become a better writer. When the year first started I would get Ds on my essays and end up upset but as the semester went by she explained that the letter grade does not matter, what matters is how much you improve at the end as a writer, in which I graciously improved. I received an A on the course!

    Course highlights:

I learned how to cite properly and write better thesis statements for my essays.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To be open-minded as the semester goes by, the grades you receive on your essays will not determine your final grade. Your improvement will so do not give up!
