    Professor Alakent is familiar with the material and presents the course in an easy to follow way with many practical examples.

    Course highlights:

    I learned how business and society interrelate, and that ethics has a broad definition.

    Understand ethics, and bring an open mind. Business has changed in the last ten years, older knowledge may not be relevant.

    Course Overview:

    This seems like it will be an interesting course. This course is designed to focus on the importance of ethics, sustainability and stake-holder management from a current business management perspective. The course content emphasizes social, political, and ethical management responsibilities in the global business environment. The highly interactive course will include theories and real world applications, skill building and simulations, contemporary business discussions, and active team assignments during class sessions.

    Course highlights:

    Identify the social, political, regulatory, ethical, and technological aspects of the external and internal environments in which a business operates. Compare and analyze the various and sometimes competing considerations attend- ing diverse stakeholder interests and inherent in cross-cultural multinational environments. Recognize the necessity of developing a strategy to deal with congruent as well as adverse considerations posed by respective business environments. Develop critical thinking skills through readings and case studies to apply social responsibility concepts and ethical principles to current business, government, and society issues.
