    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I really liked this course not only for the prof, but for the material too. It contained all interesting aspects of criminal law, and the prof really tied them in by speaking about how they relate to cases he has dealt with as a lawyer in Ottawa.

    Course highlights:

We learned about many different defenses in the criminal justice system, as my prof was a defense lawyer. He outlined all the different scenarios surrounding the defense, and all the loopholes that are applicable. We had many great discussions about grey areas and difficult cases to sentence.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I wouldn't recommend buying the textbook, as you only need it for the cases outlined really. (which can be found online.) Make sure you show up to every class, as the prof will remember you, and calls out attendance. Not an issue if you're genuinely interested in the topic. Make sure you listen carefully and if you don't understand something just ask. He usually finishes the class an hour early.
