    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I admit this class take some work (as all classes that teach you stuff will be), but the course load is lighter than some of my other comp-sci classes I have taken. There isn't an assignment every week so some weeks you won't have to put in as many hours. The assignments took me on average 7 hours working by myself, but over multiple days. I recommend giving yourself enough time before the assignment due date as unforeseen bugs happen. C++ can be a fragile language and the compiler is only so useful...

    Course highlights:

The lectures are recorded so you can watch them again (and at 2x speed) to further solidify the course material). I had Christine as an instructor and she is very clear and strait to the point which makes her an excellent teacher, and results in a well organized course. There were review lectures before every test/exam. virtual machine with everything you need Tutorials covered material in upcoming assignments so most of the time I could re-use code that I used in the tutorial.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the time to really understand and feel comfortable with C/C++ style pointers before you start class. It will make life easier. Look at/start the assignments as early as you can Code re-use makes life easier Focus on Christine's lecture material (in-class lecture/recordings/posted code) as knowing this will prepare you for the tests and assignments. The internet may lead you astray...
