Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AMAZING CLASS! I felt that I learned about how religion and health actually complement each other. It was more like an anthropology class since we learned about many different cultures and how they used healing practices and rituals. This class changed my life. The readings were very interesting too, I had to keep the course pack!

    Course highlights:

The biggest takeaway from this class was the perceptions of mental illness in Western society vs the world. Schizophrenia is a Western mental illness but in Japanese culture those symptoms are viewed as being called to be a Shaman.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of readings. Attend tutorials for great discussion and take notes that will assist you with your weekly reflections (they also help you prepare for the final).
