Pretty easy, overall.
Virtual assignments are a savior! You are basically given every exam question that could be on the exam in rounds of 10...if you do the assignments, you are guaranteed to pass the exam. Lanyi is funny, genuinely cares about the students, and is a big advocate for trying to be fair when working with other members of the faculty.
Prior to Lanyi's course I was terrible at economics - failing the same course a previous term with a 40% (different prof). I walked out of Lanyi's course with an A - because he is so good at explaining concepts and will provide as much resources (practice questions, assignments, quizzes, powerpoints, videos) as possible to ensure you get the most relevant concepts down.

Advice for students:
Do the virtual assignments, ask for help, and ensure you always meet the deadlines - he is strict that you must hand things in and will not give redo's. But if you pay attention, are willing to answer and ask questions, and can study both graphs and notes well, you will be set.
