Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course if wonderful for those considering a major in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Studies. It introduces Deaf Culture to those who have no prior knowledge of it as well as cementing the ideas and beliefs in those who already know or are part of Deaf Culture.

    Course highlights:

Rosemary is a fantastic professor! She shows how dedication to a certain subject can help propel students further in their education. This class has definitely helped me continue with my decision of Deaf Studies as a major here at Fresno State University. THe biggest highlight that had the most impact was the concept of "audism" because it explains how hearing people, people with knowledge of American Sign Language and Deaf Culture, oppress those who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing because of their differences in hearing ability.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to future students is to make sure you do the reading and participate in the group/class discussions during the allotted time. If you don't make use of your time and participate accordingly, it might negatively affect you.
