    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Communication, it is a necessity we must learn to be able to use it. Despite what we end up doing in our lives we are always speaking and sometimes we must need to communicate in a different manner in order to truly get our points across for example, in the form of a presentation. Being able to present in front of others for anything will always look good and professional especially if one has to give a speech on the spot with little to no preparation time. I feel that it has benefitted me as I am less nervous in front of a crowd and can concentrate more on what has to be said. In addition we had Chinese visitors as they were learning the ways to teach public speaking; as in China there is no such course. The Chinese have even realized how important this class can be for shaping ones future that now they will begin to implement it towards their students. Therefore I truly believe that this class is a must to take.

    Course highlights:

What i have gained from taking this course is the organization is key. If one is not organized, one can only wish that they will not fall apart in their presentations. It takes time to create a well balanced overall outline for a presentation; it cannot be created the night before. If you do not prepare and practice your speech it will affect the presentation and you will loose your audience. Therefore, I learned how to organize myself and practice.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I order to succeed in this class you must keep on top of your presentations. Remember presentations are nothing compared to a homework assignment. You must plan out how you will tackle you speech and break it up as it not something you can prepare for in the last minute.
