Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
The course was basic, but the teacher constantly moved deadlines around and would take off points for the tiniest mistakes. Make sure to do the homework and projects, and show up for exam and you will be fine!
Course highlights:
The highlights was learning math in more depth compared to my other classes.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
If you are willing to work, then you will ace it.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
If you are a business major you are required to take a business calculus class. I would highly suggest taking your class with Mr. Scott. I have never been strong in math, but oddly enough this calculus class was actually kind of easy for me. Mr. Scott helps you know the why factor of why you are taking certain steps in the math problem. And when you know the why you always know what to do. Definitely in problem application classes such as business calculus. He also does not skip steps.
Course highlights:
Mr. Scott can be an odd character, but he always makes sure that you know the information. If you are someone that struggles with math then I would highly suggest Mr. Scott. There is a lot of homework but if you keep in the studies you should be able to get an A in the class.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Always study, and do the work. Sit in the front of class ( he will point you out if you don't), always be on time, and be ready to focus.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I love math courses and have so much fun in each class. My professor was a great teacher, enthusiastic, and fun. She cared about each student and was extremely nice and understanding.
Course highlights:
I learned the difference quotient, how to take the first and second derivative, how to find the max and min of a function. I practiced basic algebra and applied it to my homework and exams.
Hours per week:
9-11 hours
Advice for students:
I would advise you to take good notes and listen to the lectures. Also, to complete the homework.
