This class was tough.
This is a required course for anyone pursuing a degree in child and adolescent development. While the workload was a bit heavy (there is a big research paper due at the end of the semester), the teacher broke it down into manageable chunks. I felt a bit confused at times with regard to teacher directions, but she was always more than willing to help. Just put the effort in, and you will do well!
I learned to read and understand scholarly research articles, produce a professional powerpoint presentation, the basics about how research is done, and how to use research databases efficiently for future research projects.

Advice for students:
If the course material is difficult for you, do not hesitate to visit the peer tutoring center! They have all gone through this class and can help break the material down into easier to understand terms. I and many of my classmates who used this resource found it exceptionally helpful, and there is no limit on how many times you can ask for help. Take advantage!!
