Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The general idea is simple, but the analysis throughout the class is in depth and extremely helpful.

    Course highlights:

I gained confidence in my analysis skills. He is very encouraging and cares for his students.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Put actual thought into what you do, it's easy to write fluff but being genuine in your writing is rewarded.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Every student should take a course in women gender studies because it will open their eyes to a brand new world around them. Prior to this course I felt uncomfortable addressing individuals who were apart of the LGBTQ community because I was an outsider to their community. However, this course not only taught me how to address those individuals who's gender I might struggle to identify, but it also taught me about how many individuals residing in the United States are denied fundamental human rights every day just for being "different" or underprivileged.

    Course highlights:

This course challenged me and my classmates to see individuals who are different, or less privileged than us with a new perspective, and to treat them with kindness and acceptance. We learned how many female homeless individuals are victims of rape, and would rather pair up with a male and be abused by one individual than by many unknown individuals. Additionally, many displaced individuals are often alienated by their surrounding community, and rarely partake in physical interactions, which make them feel dehumanized, and often results in mental illnesses. We also learned to ask individuals what their personal pronouns are when we are not sure which gender they identify with, and learned that sex is the role you are assigned when you are born, but gender can be changed over time.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

This course will completely change your life and how you view the world around you. Whenever I see a homeless person now, I try to shake their hand and have a conversation with them to make them feel more included in our community. This course will make encounters with individuals who are different from us more comfortable and make you see that at the end of the day, we are all human beings and should treat each other with respect

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would totally recommend this class. its my favorite class this semester. we talk about many things and notice that everything falls back to gender no matter the topic.

    Course highlights:

The professor is really funny. I learned that gender is viewed in different lens. biologically, how its socially constructed, its performance, its nature/nurture and more.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course all you need to do is pay attention and do all your work . when you are stuck make sure to go to office hours.
