    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The class is an ease intro to the studies of American Culture. The professor had given us a book and it discussed about American culture and how it has shared our history and ideals in modern society. This is the ideal history class because it also opens your eyes to how the United States actually is. Like our history is based mainly on myths and how our culture affects others. For classwork, you have to read a chapter a week and bring in a note card describing that chapter. Other than that she has two essays (pretty easy), a mid term and final as well.

    Course highlights:

The professor was great. She made the class interesting and she explained the reasoning and ideals very well and gave great examples. I learned that the United States shapes and forces other cultures to conform to American culture and how our figure heads or people we look up to in history like the Pilgrims and George Washington have been stories to make Americans feel proud of their country. Also some times, we watch films and get into groups to discuss topics. Actually to be honest, the whole class is like a group discussion. Everyone adds their option and participates. Last thing, the professor gives you the questions on the midterm and final so you know what to study.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

The required book and note cards. The professor has you turn in the cards at the beginning of class so be sure to do it before hand. Take notes! its not that many notes and most of them come from the book, but the notes and book are the test. Don't do the essays last minute cause you kind of have to think about them.
