Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course helped me gain a better, broader, and detailed understanding of human development, particularly during the earlier years (infancy until young adulthood). This course, though filled with a lot of knowledge, is not just limited to the textbook - the materials learned are easily applied to real life situations. Pam Smith is definitely an incredible instructor! She is patient, able to relate to her students, and is open to answering any question you have!

    Course highlights:

What I loved most about taking this course with Professor Smith was that she had us register at an online virtual baby site, which allowed me to answer questions that would determine how my virtual baby would grow. It is so interesting to see how different parenting styles may affect the direction your child takes, how personality forms, as well as the various attachment styles created, whether consciously or unconsciously.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I always advise reading the textbook. Look over the PowerPoint presentation slides that she uploads on Titanium, because she makes some of the heavier material from the textbook easier to comprehend. Be sure to come to class because Professor Smith's lectures are interesting, she answers all your questions thoroughly, and the videos she shows in class are both educational and interesting. Make sure to do the online test preparations because they help you when taking the actual exam in class.
