Pretty easy, overall.
I would recommend this course because Mr. Obando challenges his students to critically think about present day oppression and what people of color have dealt with throughout all of history.
This course allowed me to view history through the eye of minorities, rather than an Anglo-Saxon white male viewpoint. It wasn't a regurgitation of our U.S. history class. All of the information Mr. Obando provided the class with was new and different from what we learned in high school. I learned that our social and racial that we face today are not new or barely beginning, this has been around since the discovery of America.

Advice for students:
There are two main things you need to do in order to pass this class, but they are both very manageable. First thing is to always read whatever is assigned so you understand what Mr. Obando is talking about in class. Second, take notes in class so when you are doing an assignment you have the notes to look back at.
