Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Would recommend this class to anyone interested in learning more about the factors that have shaped Western Civilization. This course will cover great thinkers from the 19th, 20th and 21st century.
The professor was the highlight of the course. My recommendation is to take as many courses with Dr. Redhead as possible, as you will learn how to think analytically from these courses. Many of us will not carry on to become professors in political theory nor philosophy, however, Redhead's courses go beneath the surface of content itself, forcing one to develop critical thinking and analytical skills with the material.

Advice for students:
Highly advise being prepared for class as the discussions are where students learn the most. Participation is critical, for the grade, but, moreover, to bounce the ideas that you will write about later during the actual course. Your ideas will develop there, and students as well as the professor will refer you to secondary readings to support or complicate your thesis. If you can't complete the reading, prepare for class by reading Course Hero, or Wikipedia summaries of the reading's and then skimming the important passages in the text. Bring your book to class.
