Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you are in computer science or software engineering this course is mandatory for you, now in the past (like when i took this course in 2015) this was a bird course, the reasoning for this is because it was mandatory for first year engineering students to also take this course. this was a huge waste of time for students in the comp sci or soft eng programs. and it actually hurt us because when we moved onto a harder course (CIS 2500) we were kinda screwed from lack of knowledge. However now they have changed the stakes, engineers are no longer forced to take this course... which means its no longer a bird course. ITS TOUGH I tutored a few students in this course and they are doing things that i did not learn till second year!! SO my advice to you is, if you are a comp sci or soft eng student,,, learn lots, enjoy, this will be a good "testing the waters" kind of scenario for you to knwo what this program is like. If you are not and you think CIS 1500 is a bird course.... DO NOT TAKE it , you will regret it.

    Course highlights:

you will learnt he basics about making a program, especially the ability to use coding convention in order for other to be able to read your code, this is probably the most important take away. IF you have judi you are blessed, she is an amazing prof.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

if COMP SCI /SOFT ENG : enjoy its an awesome course if NOT : stay the hell away unless you love programming.
