    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course on the basis that it will teach you how to analyze business case studies in a very detailed and practical manner. This course pushes you to analyze the information in a case from all angles and come up with recommendations and alternatives on your own, which otherwise you would not do. Although the information in the cases are provided to you in a well organized way, the course teaches you to go beyond the information and use your analytical skills to seek alternatives.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course was that the information was easy to understand and could be easily applied to real life. The course had group presentations and case analysis discussions at the end of class which really helps you talk about your thoughts on a topic in the case and get real live feedback. I learned how to analyze a case study from beginning to end, this included identifying the problems, the strategies, using SWOT analysis, PESTLE and then finally with all the analysis conducted coming up with a solution/recommendation. This type of exercise even goes further to help you with other ADMS courses that you might be taking, because it pushes you think in a certain way which requires constant analysis and providing supporting information/arguments to your conclusions. Furthermore, this course requires you to step out of your comfort zone and really participate in class this will help you gain more confidence and understand if you are thinking about a topic in the correct manner or not.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the course if you want to really take the right step in analyzing a business case. IF you are pursuing CPA , you will be analyzing business cases majority of the time, and without this type of practice it will be really hard in the beginning. You will learn alot about how an analysis works, how to incorporate the topics you learned in class in an answer that is well formatted. All of this information is invaluable.
