Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

While it was in a large lecture hall, the professor knew the individuals (especially those that showed!). She gave us a very thorough lecture, then an activity to help us understand. Professor Gibb had many resources available, including study sessions with her and extra credit observatory time, for students that needed help. There was minimal math involved. This course is great for those very interested in astronomy or just looking for an extra science credit.

    Course highlights:

We covered very many different aspects of astronomy! The most interesting was probably black holes. Prof. Gibb's notes were all made available online, and they are extremely well organized and explanatory. I still have all my notes saved!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Astronomy can be a hard thing to wrap your mind around, and Prof. Gibb explains it so well it seems easy. You need to spend time studying it, even if you think you don't, to fully understand it!
