This class was tough.
This is by far the most difficult course you will take out of all your general business education requirements (evident by the name Capstone), but also a very rewarding one.
Prior to this class you may complained that there are too many group-based projects and you do not see the point. Or you may argue that on a commuter campus with the majority of students in the working world, group projects just aren't feasible due to scheduling. However, this class not only necessitates working as a group but helps you to see the importance of both working in a team and working to build a cohesive, invested, and strong team.

Advice for students:
Everything you need to succeed is handed to you as long as you pay attention especially during the lectures. Get to know your classmates and their work ethic asap. When it comes to the game, start early (and this course will make you do so from day one) and split up who reads and masters what section of the game manual so that it is less overwhelming. Additionally, Dr. Whitcomb is meticulous in her project grading yet approachable and helpful when it comes to questions. Do not try to turn in rushed or incongruous team work. She treats you like young professionals who know their specialization so either act like it or ask for help when you really do not know your stuff, seeing that your performance will not only affect you but also the quality of your team's work.
