    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class is really good for helping to understand the chemistry and really apply it, however it's a very challenging course that seems almost overbearing in terms of how much time and effort students have to put into it. I really didn't enjoy this lab because it takes more time and effort than any other class and it's only worth a few units.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about thermochemistry, electrochemistry, and generally everything learned in Chem 1B. This class really helped deepen my understanding of the topics in Chemistry 1B.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Try to space out the time you spend working on this lab. Don't save the work until the day before lab because the work required for the lab may take a lot longer than you actually think it will. Also, some TA's are more lenient than others so you will have to get used to how they grade the labs in terms of things like the discussion grade. It might be a good idea to go to their office hours to ask what they really want out of your discussion and to ask for feedback on it.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Easy to follow. Iclickers are helpful and she is pretty available during office hours. She also listens if you think your midterm was graded incorrectly.

    Course highlights:

Professors want to interact with the students as much as students do.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Well, it's a requirement for almost all the science majors, so not really much to consider.
