Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

UCSB is in the middle of nowhere. If you're used to being in a city environment, it will take a while to adjust to the quiet here.UCSB holds a very strict policy when it comes towards underage drinking and the usage of illegal substances.

    Course highlights:

SB is very bohemian, so if you're into that, then that's good. But if you were looking for a college experience full of exploring museums, history, culture, etc., UCSB does not have too much of that.that's the only accessible place near UCSB with actual things to do.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Right outside of campus is Isla Vista where you can buy food. If you want to go to Kmart, you have to take the bus. If you want to go shopping on State Street (which is actually a very impressive block of shops), it takes around 40 mins- 1 hour to get there by bus.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

They are very lenient in matters where it's simply students having a bit of fun. So long as no one is endangering themselves or others the school tends to be quite accommodating.Expensive, unsafe, and parking is an absolute nightmare.

    Course highlights:

There are lots of food options nearby, but they're all very expensive. A Blaze pizza just opened and is now the cheapest place to eat. Taste of the food varies, some places are good. Grocery stores are expensive too, and there are no chain groceries in Isla Vista (i.e Albertsons).

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Permits cost a fortune but it is usually not too difficult to find a good spot. Off campus parking puts your car at risk of having your mirrors broken or a drunken biker riding into the side.ou will never struggle finding something to do over the weekend, unless it's dead week.
