Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

, and all my classes are 5 minute bike ride away. You get really close with the people your living with, and all the people on my floor hang out together. I've made some awesome friends since I've been here. Bathrooms are cleaned every morning, and are always pretty clean, and rooms are cleaned every other week and the trash is taken out.

    Course highlights:

Because it's a college area, it seems that new businesses open up easily so there's variety if you give it time. Most people here are attractive and rock the beach look.It was extremely easy for me to find an apartment I liked at a reasonable price. Most apartments have off-street parking and a laundry room.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The athletics department always has a lot of support from the rest of the students at school. People very often show school spirit and that they are proud to be UCSB students. The Greek students have specially designed home outside the dorms. They are usually seen as the ones who create the social atmosphere both on campus and outside.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

the styles of teaching by different professors, and my favorite part, the role of soccer in many people's lives. To begin, my favorite part about UCSB has to be attending lecture because, for the first time in my life, I actually enjoy going to class.

    Course highlights:

I am currently an Economics major at UCSB and I am loving life. Well, I shouldn't be loving life because my classes are incredibly hard, but I really am enjoying being an Economics major at UCSB as it guarantees me a number of job opportunities upon graduation and offers an incredible amount of internship opportunities.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

There are always alumni on campus speaking of the benefits of getting a degree from UCSB and advising all the students on the correct path that should be taken when getting a job after graduation. Also, UCSB always hosts job fairs and so forth.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Conversely, intramural sports are big. A lot of people make friends by joining intramural soccer teams, and there is a variety of options of classes at the gym, like martial arts classes, that I have participated in and enjoyed.

    Course highlights:

We have two. We also have a rock climbing wall, a rink for indoor soccer, several soccer fields, volleyball courts, racquetball courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, a swimming pool, a diving pool, a jacuzzi, and a shallow wading pool, and other stuff.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The gyms in my opinion are fine, but of course people complain about overcrowding. I am not a weightlifter but I've been in the weight rooms and they seem well-equipped. UCSB is a great school. It wasn't my first choice, but I have ended up happy here.
