Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course simply because the professor brings true enthusiasm to class on how cruel society is to minorities. One will learn how to be part of a social movement and to bring social change to a society that leaves out minorities.

    Course highlights:

I learned that being "privileged" goes more than just having money, it goes to people being cis- gender, male, heterosexual, white, tall, and english speaking. Many work for where they are now but others are privileged and are there for that reason.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the material because it really is interesting and pay attention in class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class was very interesting. It sparked a lot of conversations that we are scared to talk about in society. Your eyes are opened and you become angry about us not being able to do more for each other.

    Course highlights:

Ready Just Mercy and being able to meet Bryan Stevenson. I learned a lot about the unjust industrial Prison complex.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to all the classes and sections and take notes. Do the readings also.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course itself was interesting. Being exposed to the basics of society's behavior can be mind boggling. Dr. Rios, the author of his very own book, knows how to connect with his students on a social and academic level that helps every grasp the concepts of his course.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course had to be the material that he gave us to read. Every week we were presented with articles that would leave us questioning not only ourselves, but our society. They forced us to think outside of the box when it came to our world.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students to always read the material he gives out. They are really interesting and they are extremely applicable to the exams.
