Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Wuebben is an innovator and a visionary. He structured his course to cater to the unique UCSB student population. Although it was a writing course, he made it interactive with not only within the students but the campus as well. He opened our eyes to the world around us. He made us realize how fortunate we are to be students at one of the most beautiful and prestigious campuses in the nation, while making us better writers.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was the agency he gave his students. He would structure his lessons to guide us, rather than lead us. He allowed us to explore our own creative interests, which I believed allowed us to find our voice in our writing. I learned that writing is an art form. It is used to communicate, entertain, persuade, educate, and most importantly bring people together.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Professor Wuebben is an amazing professor who will guide you to discovering yourself through writing.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's an essential class to take and the professor helps you through the writing process easily.

    Course highlights:

The main highlights of this course was the freewriting done, learning an entire new process of writing and revising, and taking a look into the different styles of writing. What I learned from this course are new writing techniques, discourse communities, and genre analysis to name a few.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be open minded about the course, don't become too frustrated with the writing and course readings. Definitely reach out to the professor for help as the class is smaller than most classes, and look forward to asking other students in the class for help in your essays.
