    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The class itself was enjoyable. It definitely forces you out of your comfort zone if you aren't good at being silly or in the spotlight. The class acted as a nice space to be goofy and let loose and I think everyone should do this in order to feel more confident about themselves. My only issue with this course was that I was never given grades on activities or assignments that were submitted and was surprised with the grade I was given at the end. If you want feedback and confirmation of your grade you'll have to ask for it.

    Course highlights:

I learned to be okay with feeling embarrassed. You feel a little awkward at first but then the entire class realizes that everyone is in the same boat and it let's you open up.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to prep before presentations and ask about your progress.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

best class i have taken at ucsb. well most fun. you meet a lot of people who will be your friends for the rest of your time ar sb

    Course highlights:

go see ucsb productions instead of buying a text book so its cool to learn hands on instead of reading. mostly just short writing assignments and line memorization

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

attendance is mandatory. show up and do your homework and go to events and you're going to do well in the class

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it allows you to explore your imagination, think quickly on your feet, interact with your classmates, and create unique scenes and characters.

    Course highlights:

In this course I learned how to analyze both scripts and characters when watching performance. I also learned how to make effective choices when performing a scene to captivate and audience. Some of these actions include: vocal and physical choices, use of space, juxtaposition/contrasting characters, and invasion of space for intensity.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to be committed. This course requires dedication and effort in class and outside of class when you are rehearsing or actually performing in class. Participation is key to succeeding in this course.
