    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Strathman is incredibly knowledgeable on the course material or anything else pertaining to international relations. He is an excellent professor, and is willing to thoroughly explain a concept beyond what he has written on his powerpoints.

    Course highlights:

PS 126 covers what makes a state secure, threats to national security, and the threats that are generated by insecurity in the international system. We spent time discussing terrorism and non-state actors as threats to the international systems, and rivals to states for power in the international system. We also discuss threats, credibility, and decision-making leaders face, exploring whether leaders really impact decision-making at all.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the reading, and go to office hours. Professor Strathman is great, and is willing to speak to you for lengthy amounts of time about any questions you have or going into depth about one or many areas of international relations.
