    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The reading and teachings were quite redundant, and it was very difficult to have style and personality as a writer. Focuses mostly on research.

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't write papers the night before, and don't miss class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Speiser is very kind and accommodating. He will help you to the best of his abilities. There are quite a handful of readings but they are usually easy to read and actually interesting.

    Course highlights:

The highlight was the very fun and creative final writing project. It wasn't a typical boring multiple choice test. Prof Speiser let us choose any text and translate it into another form of text. For example, a novel into a song, an article into diary entries and so fourth. We learned the importance of discourse communities and the significance of the special techniques they use.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take your project builders seriously! It will help your final result be the best it can be. Go to office hours! He's extremely nice and helpful. Put time and effort into your essays. It's a lot of fun when your not stressed and you let your creative juices flow. Also, when writing your essays write it all out first and get all your ideas out, then go back and edit it and polish it up.
