    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I enjoyed the literature presented in this class, but it was extremely fast-paced. Oftentimes, an entire book would be covered over the course of two class periods, so you really, really need to be on top of the reading. The literature wasn't too difficult, but I would highly recommend starting early if you can, as there is a rather decent amount of it. If you like modernism, though, this is the course for you!

    Course highlights:

My favorite aspects of the course surrounded the history lessons accompanying the literature. Professor Boscagli was thorough to root each text (poem, novel, or film) in its proper time and therefore present it with a much richer meaning. I particularly liked the poetry section, as the material and form were interesting to me.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely do the reading! It seems daunting, but if you are able to figure out a schedule that works for you, you should be okay. Maybe take this class during a quarter where you have one or two other classes that are lighter on reading and homework. Some weeks are easier than others--you might have to read a few poems one week and en entire novel the next, so look at the syllabus beforehand and plan accordingly!
