This class was tough.
MCDB is vital to most science majors at UCSB, it covers biochemistry, cell biology, and genetics, AKA life at its most basic level.
I personally love genetics. Every pedigree and punnet square is like a puzzle and honestly something I find very entertaining. You can find out so much about yourself by understanding genetics.

Reading is a very good supplement, but not vital. In order to get an A it will require more studying than you have probably ever had to do, but the usefulness of the information is unbeatable.
